This is an interview with Tony Bove, author of the upcoming book, "Just Say No to Microsoft". With this book Bove intends to help readers rid Microsoft from their life- this is easier said that done, but it is certainly possible. The book goes on to list alternatives to the Microsoft programs on which people have become dependent and probably think they cannot give up. More can be learned about Mr. Bove and the book at NoStarch's website (http://nostarch.com/sayno.htm).

Cool. With a few exceptions, I've found alternates to M$.

I was just looking at this and was going to post it....Andrew beat me to it.

I have found or look for alternatives. I use Mozilla Thunderbird, Opera, OpenOffice (recent change) and soon will simply put linux on this system and have a dual boot using xp only when i have to.

Can you share a dial up connection with linux? Man i wish this stupid hole of a place i live in would get some good affordable broadband....

Excellent Business Opportunity in this area. Creating a nice affordable ISP that has broadband. Anyone who wants to look at this further private message me.

I looked into getting into dialups last year. Got burned by a scam artist.

As to sharing a connection, I believe you can.

Very good article. The author makes some nice points. The only thing keeping me from switching to Linux is Dreamweaver and a spare computer to learn on. :)
