got a quick question, just wanting to know if its a common problem and if there is a simple solution.

rather consistently I'm getting my windows/text boxes out of focus. for instance, I'll be in IE, typing my username in one box. I'll change to my password box, but halfway through password entry I'll get back in focus in the username box. This happens with a variety of apps and its -REALLY- starting to get on my news. the one common thing is that it happens shortly after I open thing, but I hate slowing myself down just so windows can keep up with me. Is there a way to fix this? I'm starting to curse incessently and its scaring the neighbors.

Well I have never encountered this problem before. For the heck of it have you tried swaping out the keyboard maybe you have a sticking key or something is making contact that shouldn't. Thats the only suggestion I can offer at the moment.

Laptop, not an easy process. I get it on my desktop upstairs too, but not as frequently.

I have never really run across this problem. It could be a glitch with the graphics card. Try updating drivers. Let me know if that doesn't work...we will try something else.
