I apparently need to dowload some ftp software. Any suggestions as to what kind and where to find some free stuff :D

I recommend AbsoluteFTP.

Another one I've tried is CuteFTP. I don't care for it myself, but do have some clients who swear by it.

cuteftp is a paid one too I believe.

ws_ftp is servicable.

You can always go to www.download.com and do a search

Found out the University I work for has a software download area for you to download a variety of software for work purposes.
