Google Talk is googles version of a messenger....the big difference is that they want you to connect using voice. Not as in depth as Skype but it gives you and option to talk to a person.

Anyone else working with Google Talk?

The lead programmer from GAIM is now working on Google Talk. This ought to be interesting. I think the beta version is just a small shell of what it is going to end up. I already know you will be able to connect to AOL messenger through it. Don't know when they will implement that but with the purchase of a good portion of AOL it is inevitable. Also with the MSN and Yahoo Messengers coenciding sometime late this year....I would expect features to be added to google talk.

Does anyone here use google talk? You can now invite people to chat on google talk from your gmail account and you can also save conversations from google talk into gmail...or something like that.

I expect it will be similiar to GAIM but with voice....since google hired gaim's lead programmer to help develop google talk....at least i think that is what i read somewhere... (i think i'm losing my mind)
