View Full Version : Which Next Gen and why? Andrew Green 11-22-2005, 05:28 PM So what's your choice for the next gen system and why? Andrew Green 11-22-2005, 05:33 PM Personally I'm leaning Nintendo if anything. Microsoft -> Personal Boycott, I didn't really like the x-box and well, I don't trust them. Sony -> Given the recent Sony events, well, until recently this probably would have been my vote. Nintendo -> Mario Kart is there :D, and at least an attempt at inovating. New controllers are gonna be great or crap, not much chance of a middle ground IMO. Silent Bob 11-22-2005, 05:39 PM If I bought one, it'd probably be the xbox. Just seems most of the stuff I'd been interested in playing been on that platform. Course, I know next to nothing about the systems, and really hate those controlers. Give me a keyboard and a mouse any day. Circlestraff time! WhooHoo! :D BlueDragon1981 11-22-2005, 05:47 PM I don't mind the control as long as the setup is okay...games with difficult control layouts are horrible and I don't have the patience for them. XBox has the most powerful system...games aren't even using the potential of the hardware. Sony wins in the title war. They have many people signed with them to make games, which is what XBox does not have...although they are getting better. Nintendo has the Mario and Zelda series that always seems to keep it alive. I haven't seen much about the new system. They are below the specs of Playstation and XBox so i think they are tring to promote games more. I like classic games too...so i will play atari games. Give me a quest type rpg, strategy game and I don't care what system it is on. Andrew Green 11-22-2005, 06:16 PM Revolution's big thing is it's controller: http://www.1up.com/do/newsStory?cId=3143782 and PS3's specs are likely to beat out the new X-box. X-Box has the head start though. Shandril 11-22-2005, 08:36 PM Well by the time I can afford one of the new systems they will be old and the next generation will probable already be out. |
