Im quite happy now - Ive figured out how to make my layers with degrees of transparency. I had gotten it working all right in IE, but was stumped on Firefox...but after some thinking an searching, I figured it out. Huzzuh!

filter: alpha(opacity=40); opacity: 0.5; -moz-opacity: 40%;
The first covers IE, the second Firefox, and the third Mozilla

That looks good, except for some overlap (see image)

Firefox on Linux. I'm guessing it is a CSS error, or rather coding for IE (non-standard css)

no, thats me being stupid.

I had to get the middle in a table other wise it wouldn't work. Sometimes, Ill take the minor irks and deal with em later, as long as I can get the basic look out there...let it roll in my head for a bit...try again....swear some more....lather, rise, repeat...
