Just curious if there is a fix for this. Every time my computer goes into sleep mode, when I restart, I get a message with XP telling me I have a certain amount of messages. Its always inaccurate. Is there a way to either remove the message or perhaps get the reading to be accurate (with zero messages)? I use XP on two seperate computers, and I get the inaccurate message on both.
Side question, anyone know how to remove the notification for "unused icons" with XP? I get tired of seeing it periodically pop up.
Thanks!

"msconfig", get anything related to windows messanger out of the start up and I think that solves it.

I think somewhere their is an option that you can remove the notification of the messages. At this time i don't remember where it is. Andrews solution might work also.

Look thru these links....

They might have something that will help.
Still seems that disabling something in startup will probably have the best effect.
I don't have any trouble with that because I use Mozilla Thunderbird. Nothing since i started using that has ever popped up.
