Here are some of the items in PC World Magazine....
Outlook Live - this will be a $45 a year service that allows you to place your outlook items online basically allowing you to use it where ever you are.

LIVE - this is also a microsoft service. The interface looks like gmails and they allow you to connect to your hotmail account. This I believe is Microsofts attempt to beat out gmail. The interface does look okay...haven't used it myself and i am happy with gmail so they will have to do something special for me to switch.

GMail - this is googles innovative web mail service. I can say that it takes a little getting used to the interface but I like it and would recommend it to anyone.

Brainstorm on JotSpot - this service is a wiki that allows you to basically brainstorm on the net. It is free with registration for 5 users and 20 pages. After that it goes from $9 to $49 a month. JotSpot Live allows users to do broadcasting with vidoes...

ThinkFree puts office apps online - This service uses your microsoft office tools over the net. You can also save in pdf formats.

Whiteboard - quick service that allows you to store text docs and even allow others to view and edit. Sounds kind of useful.

Backpack - This can be a very useful tool if you want this information online. It can send you a message to your cell phone via text to remind you a task needs done. Some of the service is free but after awhile it will cost you $5 to $19 to do more....

Yahoo 360 - this gives you unlimited space for your blog, allows others to see your groups, you can add rss feeds, and write local reviews. From my experience unless you have a lot of people responding to your blogs it can get old....but i check in at least once a day to check up on things.

Opera Community - this offers 300 mb of sharing vid, pics, and blogs and you don't have to use the opera browser.

FaceBook - this site is very active and popular. You have to be in college. It allows you to keep up with your old buddies and to find new friends.

Flickr - this is a photo sharing service. You can place up to 20 MB for free. .. after which you can pay $25 a year for up to 2 GB. This service is owned by yahoo.

Picaboo - this site is photo sharing with a twist. You download software and do what you wish with their editors....then upload it by albums back to the site.

Dei.icio.us - this allows you to share your bookmarks with others. It recently was purchased by yahoo.

Digg - Similiar to slashdot but they have you tag important items.

Flock - this is really a new browser that just uses other systems built into it. Such as del.icio.us is already built in.

Blip.tv - Offers free video blogging, podcasting, searching and sharing. Can incorporate del.icio.us and flickr with the service.

ClipShack - Quick and Easy video posting. Doesn't have all the tools of other services but is very useful.

Google Video - Googles video service. The company checks videos to make sure they meet the guidlines. Some of them are paid for videos and others are free.

Awhile back i put a bunch of these tools in their own threads....but I just merged them all so that it is a resource for them all instead of having to look all around. (I think i have a few to many all's in that sentence.)
