I just wanted to share how much of an impact the web has on college courses in today's world.
For my nutrition class we use a web site called fitday. It has a lot of useful info on it. This can be used free online or you can buy a copy of it to run on your computer, without internet connection.
http://www.fitday.com
The Strategic Management class that is our capstone class uses an online strategy game and a case tutor tool.
The strategy game is on http://www.bsg-online.com
I will have to post the tutor tool when i have my book on me....
Also the University of Pittsburgh has a couple online sites that allow for easy access to your email and many other things.
Their portal is http://my.pitt.edu
We have access to an online site called blackboard. If a proffessor chooses to use it you can submit homework electronically...and a bunch of other things. This site is http://courseweb.pitt.edu
So as you can see having internet access is starting to become essential.
