Movie to begin shooting in 2006 with Milla Jovovich back to star...

Variety reports that "Resident Evil: Extinction" will begin shooting in 2006, with Milla Jovovich attached to reprise her role from the first two films. Russell Mulcahy will be directing based on a screenplay by Paul WS Anderson.

Thoughts, comments? I wonder if it will have a totaly inconsistant feel like the Highlander films...

I don't think it could be as inconsistant as the 2nd highlander film no matter how hard they tried....

I dunno... the zombies might suddenly come from the Planet Zeist... With Mulcahy directing... ya know... anything is possible.

I haven't even seen the first one! Is it worth my time?

I loved Highlander 1 and I want to keep my fond memories intact so I refuse to see 2.

You could give Highlander 3 a try, it is more or less continuous with 1 and completely ignores 2.

In fact, I think everyone would like to just ignore Highlander 2....

Liked the first one , could not get into the second one and after Ultraviolet - I think I will have to pass on the third pending maybe a download.

Uh... er... Nothing is continuous in that damn series. Esp after they introduced Duncan, and he killed Connor.

My dream... My dream... is to digitally encode the Highlander material, re-edit it, and have it all make sense, with, in the end, Connor winning again.

Duncan came in after 3.

In 1 he won the prize, in 3 it turned out another had been burried for centuries and got out, he killed him and won the prize again. ABout as continous as you can get when you kill off everyone except one guy in the first one...

Two I'm not gonna touch...

The series took a lot of "liberties" with the story, basically creating a whole bunch of immortals and ignoring that Connor had won and there where no more.

I'd say 1 and 3 are "fairly" compatible.

4 and the series are fairly compatible.

and 2 is in a world of its own (pun definately intended :D )
