well you guys need to realize it isn't 1990 anymore and things do advance. Regardless of the monetary status of certain individuals. You crazy nonconformists :D

I'm running a 2GHZ Barton core Athlon, 1GB ram, and an Nvidia GForce 2 - 400.
When I hear that I'll need a 3D card, more ram, and an even faster CPU...I kinda cringe.

Thats alot of money to spend, so I can do what I'm doing now, y'know?
Win 2000, Dreamweaver and Photoshop are my core apps. Now, if they bundled a free optimized copy of Lightwave with the OS..... LOL!

Well, way back when Windows 3 came out and we got that my opinion was basically "This is a pretty neat idea, but hard to really do anything with as it eats up too much overhead." That opinion still stands.

They should keep hardware in mind ..... many people can't afford these upgrades.

I have a pretty good Nvidia Graphics card and it isnt even on the list of supported GPU's. I guess the only way I will be getting Windows Vista is if it comes with a whole new computer system that I currently can't afford.

I was reading all of the things the MS is bundling with Vista I wonder what new lawsuits they are going to be subjected to. You think MS would have learned its lesson by now.

They've got that covered. No one is forcing anyone to use the bundled programs like in the past. IIRC There are already like 5 definite different bundles and a stripped Euro version.

Fortunately Firefox, or more accurately IE's security holes, seems to be teaching at least some people that they shouldn't just use what's there because it is there.
