I'll be posting updates here on the MT move IF I can't post them there.

Move Start 10:37AM EST

Site is copied, DNS updated. However the main database isn't coming up. I'm trying the restore again to see if that helps.

Database is now being reinstalled...this will take a while due to its size. Also, server responce time is going to be pure crap in the mean time.

Try back after 4pm EST.

ETA now 6PM EST

database reload is like swiming in mud. CPU usage is over 1000 right now....(anything greater than 1 is bad, 2.5 is considered real bad)

6:09 PM Update:
Ok, as you will have noticed, we've been down for about 8 hours now. The database is refusing to import on the new server, and it has caused some major issues. I'm working with the NOC staff to figure out why. Martial Talk will remain closed for at least another few hours while we work on this issue.

I have rerouted MT traffic back to the old site for now. I'll advise again when I know more. Thank you for your patience.
