Opinions?

It took me a while to like Kara and when I did it was never love. Lee I liked more as the show progressed growing in a steady way. I hate these two as a couple after this last episode. It's clear they have a co-dependent relationship and that is a very unhealthy kind of relationship to have.
At the moment I detest the Kara character and feel a little sympathy for Lee but if they put them together then I'll lose what little shred of anything I'm still feeling for Lee as well.
What is odd to me though is how different writers can make you feel about the same characters. Because when I read fan fiction by Crystal Wimmer about these two I positively love them and I love them together! Yet Kara is still the same kind of emotionally damaged person. Crystal does a wonderful job of staying true to RDM's characterisation so much so that you can see the actors in their roles in her work. I wish I knew how to pin point the differences in the treatement of the characterisation between her and RDM's version that makes me hate her in one and love her in the other.

I don't entirely know, if nothing else they have a really unhealthy relationship and I will say this....I don't like Lee with Dee....If fact I don't like Dee at all, so if Lee had to be with someone I would prefer it be Kara, and I can't think of anyone who would be good with Kara that is in the show now besides Lee. I never liked that she and that ball player guy got together...

I loved the flirtation between Dee & Lee, but the minute they started having hot monkey sex I totally lost interest. The chemistry they had was comepletely gone. The two of them as a married couple are so not believable... and a big yawning snooze, to boot.

While I think that Lee & Kara love each other in their own frakked up ways, I don't see a healthy or happy relationship in their future. Look at what Kara did as soon as she & Lee declared their love for each other! She panicked & went & married someone else within hours of telling him she loved him.

I liked Kara with Anders, I thought he would be good for her (and he is hot, hot, hot, so I liked the eye candy, lol), but I knew it wouldn't last.

I'm not a big fan of Lee and Dee either, mostly because I thought her and Billy were just so cute together.
Kara is just too emotionally fraked up for anyone to sanely consider having a loving, stable relationship with.

Lee isn't my fav character either. I don't think any relationship with Kara would last. I think Kara will go back to Anders in the end.

Look at what Kara did as soon as she & Lee declared their love for each other! She panicked & went & married someone else within hours of telling him she loved him.
That tells me just how much she is scared of her feelings for Lee. The guy got her to shout that she loves him! I could not believe that. Kara has no problems punching people in the mouth, but getting in touch with her emotions is not her forté. The episode was about different instances of "unfinished business" from life on New Caprica being re-examined in the ring and perhaps brought to some conclusion. However as the match between Kara and Lee at the end of the episode showed us, some business is far from being finished.

It's always nice to have a at least one disfunctional relationship somewhere in the plot to fall on, just in case. I guess Kara and Lee drew the short straw for that role.

See now I am thinking this may not be fair....Thea has Dub, and though he is away now he will be back, and Miyu has her harem...I have no one, I obviously need Lee the most....;)

I do agree with you about the tension between him and Kara but I think there are a lot of underlying issues between the two that would have to be resolved in some way before they got together seriously.
I don't think they ever truely resolved the issues they had cause she got his brother killed, I remember Adama basically said good riddance to her and she fell out of favor with him dramatically but I can't ever remember her and Lee having it out and I wonder if that will ever come up again as a stumbling block between the two...

I think that the tension between the two is more of a natural attraction. Add to it all of the drama and life issues that have happened between the two and it makes it worse.
