So, the last episode of 2006 and no one has discussed it yet?! I am disappointed! What did everyone think? Sharon & Helo now know their baby is alive & that Roslin lied to them, how do you think that will affect their behavior and loyalty to the Fleet?

We got to see where the Apollo/Starbuck boxing match led those two frakked up idiots :D and am I the only one who doesn't buy Kara's story about marriage being a sacrament & not believing in divorce (or the Colonial equivalent)?

When they were rescued from New Caprica she seemed hell-bent on getting her babealicious hubby out of her life (FYI, Anders honey, I am single, give me a call! lol), but now that divorcing him would mean having a real relationship with Lee, she suddenly gets all religious?! Yeah, sure, and if you believe that, I have some oceanfront property in Ohio I'd like to sell you!

I also don't understand Dee's behavior about this whole thing. She doesn't seem to want to say anything. Does she not care? Is she afraid she will completely lose Lee if she speaks up? She couldn't possibly be OK with it... could she?! I can understand Anders being more understanding, he knew Kara was all frakked up when he married her, he probably figures a little infidelity is the price he pays for marrying a fruit loop. But, Lee is a different sort of person altogether from Kara.

What's up with the Chief being the only one who can figure out the Temple of Five? Don't get me wrong, I love seeing more of him on screen, he has been a favorite of mine since the miniseries, but don't they have any actual priests left who might know a little more than the Chief? Or, are they counting on the spidey-sense thing that led him to the temple in the first place to lead him to the eye... and don't you think he should be at the only thing in the temple that looks like an eye?!?! Every time the camera panned to it, I screamed at him. :D

Oh, one more thing, do they not have showers & razors on the Cylon base ship?! Baltar couldn't possibly be scruffier or greasier looking unless he started taking baths in canola oil! I officially remove him from my list of BSG characters I wouldn't kick out of bed. :P:

OK so I loved this ep... and Yes I was screaming at Chief too, going..."oh that looks like an eye right there, the round thing, yeah." And I totally donot like the Lee and Kara thing. She is so confusing. She would rather cheat on her husband than get a divorce and marry Lee. And I did hear Anders correctly when he asked Lee if he thought he was the only one that Kara has hooked up with? Is he referencing Leoben back on New Caprica or other men on New Caprica Before the Cylon invasion? And then Baltar and D'anna telling Caprica 6 that they are moving on without her. ouch!

Though my favorite scene was when they told Adama that they were gonna throw in Baltar as well.

The look on Baltars face when the Cylons offered him over was priceless. I find the change in the Baltar-Six relationship to be very interesting. Where those paths go from here is going to be a fun watch.

The Kara - Lee thing we could have done without, it just adds confusion to the story line. With more time the main plot could have been even stronger.

What did everyone think?

I thought it was a good solid episode, me and Fred (the other Battlestar addict in my workcenter) enjoyed it.

We got to see where the Apollo/Starbuck boxing match led those two frakked up idiots :D and am I the only one who doesn't buy Kara's story about marriage being a sacrament & not believing in divorce (or the Colonial equivalent)?

Kara is at least a little religious, we do see that a couple times, and their are idiots who do get married and cheat all over the place but don't divorce because they don't believe in it.
Plus she isn't exactly firing on all cylinders anyway.

I don't think she can mentally handle a real relationship and she seems to have the personality type that destroys anything that is going good in her life and all the signs point to a fraked up childhood.

I also don't understand Dee's behavior about this whole thing.
She is in denial. Plus she suspects but can't prove anything.

What's up with the Chief being the only one who can figure out the Temple of Five?

The gods move in mysterious ways.

'The Eye of Jupiter' is a good episode. The Cylons decided to meet the humans on the Battlestar Galactica to talk about having access to the Temple Of The Five. I also like how Athena warned that the Number Eight visiting is Boomer. Tigh, not trusting her denied her access to Adama. After being denied access to the meeting, Boomer told Athena that her daughter is still alive and that she shouldn't trust the humans of the fleet.
