Just wanted to share a quick trick for anyone with kids who keep breaking those plastic lightsabers for their toy action figures. This was a problem that kept happening at our house. The other night while making dinner I had an idea that worked out well. I took some toothpicks (the ones with the pointed ends on both sides) snipped the sharp points, coloured them with markers in different colours and wrapped a small piece of silver duct tape on one end. Voila! A perfect mini-lightsaber that works perfect for the action figures. The kids were most impressed and now we don't have the fights over who gets which lightsaber because we have plenty of them.

We also made a double lightsaber like the one used by Darth Maul using a wooden shish kaboob skewer. Again, I cut it to size, coloured it with marker and put a strip of silver duct tape in the middle. The kids were thrilled since the plastic double lightsaber that we had got broken ages ago.

An easy fix for an ongoing problem...why the heck didn't I think of it a long time ago!

Unused Pop Rivets work too. :D
