I got a letter recently from someone who said they never gave sfx their addy and got sent advertisements from hobbystar...

I never gave them my email and I did NOT ask for their advertising.

I really hope that there was some sort of mis-communication and that this newsletter was a legitimately requested item. I'd hate to think that these people are doing even more harm to the reputation of Toronto conventions than they have already.

Does anyone have a head's up on this tactic? Are they telling people that when they are buying their tickets, their personal information is being used for commercial purposes?
