Google has finally decided to release gmail to the public without an invatation. So you I believe can now sign up without the invitation you had to before.

I don't know how many more people will use it. I know a good number of people who have it already. I'm sure a lot more will sign up but really I don't know anyone one else from my list of friends who will really care because they are stuck on their yahoo or hotmail accounts. (any tips for me on how to get them to switch... ;))

Valid points but these people are to lazy to set up filters...lol. The clutter example... weird thing is they seem to like it that way. Anyway I can confirm that they are releasing it to the public without an invitation now.

You can also use gmail to retrieve other accounts. This is out of beta a few weeks ago.

But, I think yahoo has turned off POP3. I am slowly moving things over to my gmail account. Yahoo has not kept up with features for about 2 years now.

iseijinryoushi i like your avatar.....

I have been telling people to switch for some time now. Some reason it is hard to get people to switch from what they got used to. I'm generally not the same way. I will try any program and use alternatives to microsoft any time. Yahoo in my opinion is going in the wrong direction and they sell way to much of your information.

Well, I have about 7 email accounts I think and gmail is one of them. The only thing I don't like about Gmail is it is hard to sort stuff, like put the messages into folders. I find it to not be as intuitive as yahoo's interface.
