Ok so I'm taking a pc test tomorrow for an IS position. I have not used a lot of stuff they are looking for in two years. So I need a quick crash course on a lot of things. Any advice, links, tips, etc that you can provide will be great. Thank you in advance for anyone who helps me out. Oh and if you think you might know a question that they will have on the test please feel free to put it up and give the answers so I can see. If you have an advanced example database I can look through also that would be helpful... that is if you have a way to send it to me.
Here is the mounds of information I need to cram for....
Ad Hoc
MP3 Cube
Cognos
Access Databases (need list of query statements like find etc.) Any of the advanced stuff is cool too.
SQL resources
Visual Basic resources (crash course on visual basic conventions for instance the statements you start out with how you close what goes in the middle and parameters they use such as [ as opposed to {)
I know some of it but I like I said I have not used it in over two years. I want to be certain that I get what they want done. I know some of you deal with this stuff on a regular basis so if you can help me with it that would be excellent.
Also need some of the more advanced things you think they will ask for in excel and word. I know the basics very well but have had no need to do any of the more advanced things.
I have to work today which is why I'm asking for help. I don't have the time to look for the stuff tonight and just want to come home get my kids to bed and then start with my crash course.
Again thanks in advance for any help. I really need this job for my kids. It pays more, has better hours, better benefits, and will allow me to spend more time with my kids. Also would have weekends off.... wow that would be something different for me.
Thanks,
Jon
