View Full Version : Season 4 episodes,
dubalicious 04-05-2008, 12:12 AM The first episode of season 4 just finished and it had some good moments and a few that just left me going WTF.
The opening battle was well done, I enjoyed watching the Rag Tag Fleet get messed up by the Cylons and when Kara shot up that Raider and got blood all over her was a good touch.
The main WTF thing for me isn't Kara, but Baltar, why do those religious nuts decide he is Mohammad?
Anyways overall good opening for the season.
Silent Bob 04-05-2008, 12:28 AM I enjoyed it. Love the cliff hanger ending.
unowhoandwhy 04-08-2008, 12:15 PM A promising beginning to the final (**sob**) season! Battle scenes were spectacular & the cliffhanger was edge-of-my-seat good!
Randalt 04-08-2008, 04:13 PM I got the torrent of the 1st episode, and enjoyed it very much. There's a blooper on YouTube, James Callis intentionally flubs a promo for the show; "Baltarstar Galactica (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oySgRT99SfM)," and this episode shows Baltar at the start of another arc of his life. If he can manage to think on his feet he'll ride the rollercoaster to the top again. He must survive, he can't help it.
I still don't know if I believe the four Galactica crew are really in the final five Cylons. I'm still holding out hope that it's an elaborate Cylon plot to sow dissension.
I think Starbuck is only obeying her programming as a human whose mind has been tampered with at a young age.

I think they really are the final fnive, specially after the whole Ander's in the cockpit scene

I hadn't considered that possibility, but I still think she is a cylon.
Randalt 04-09-2008, 07:05 PM Yeah the eyescan proves the Cylon raider recognized Anders as someone not to be killed. But maybe only as a test animal? It was fun to see them obsessing over what amount of free will they actually have.
dubalicious 04-12-2008, 12:11 AM Second episode came on tonight and I didn't really like it, I think they came really, really close to jumping the shark for me and it all comes down to Lee and head Baltar.
The head Baltar thing just rubs me the wrong way, it was just so STUPID and pointless, it just seemed to be their for comic relief. I'm also not buying Lee quiting either, to have him quit the military when he is the most experienced pilot and CAG is just dereliction.
unowhoandwhy 04-15-2008, 11:40 AM I agree with you dubs. Baltar has never been my favorite character and that was before they turned him into some sort of creepy cult leader with a bunch of vapid nymphos who throw themselves at him. Yawn... BO-ring!!!
I can't believe that Lee was allowed to quit, either, especially with Kara being crazy as a loon and possibly not even their Kara. The Fleet is in dire need of experienced pilots and there is no way he would have been allowed to retire and start a career in politics.
Although, I freely admit that I giggled when he told Dee as he was leaving Galactica, "Looks like you get the house," because that was funny.
The story arc with the Raiders being lobotomized, the Cylons having dissension in their ranks & the Centurions getting sentience & free will is very intriguing, though, I want more of that!
mbozzo 04-15-2008, 09:25 PM I already saw 2 episodes of the fourth season. It's a pity that it's also the last season as well, or is it?
Silent Bob 04-15-2008, 09:29 PM Outside of the Baltar stuff (which I've rarely liked), I'm liking season 4 so far.
There seems to be an implication that the Final 5 only have 1 of each model, where as the other 7 models have many copies. That leads to some interesting possibilities...one of which is, why are the 7 programmed to not think of the 5?
unowhoandwhy 04-16-2008, 12:52 PM Definnitely the last season, although I wouldn't count out spin-offs such as Caprica.
Silent Bob 04-16-2008, 12:59 PM Caprica sounds pretty fn boring to me to be honest.
dubalicious 04-19-2008, 12:19 AM Tonights episode was pretty good, the story really was moved forward and the the watching the Cylons go at it with each other was pretty cool. I really do dislike Kara and Lee. Kara is now just a ***** and Lee is a whiny *****.
Silent Bob 05-11-2008, 12:17 AM I find it interesting that Roslin has this ability to share dreams with people. Is Baltar onto something with his preachings? What's next for Starbuck now that she knows the Hybrids predictions?
Silent Bob 05-17-2008, 07:29 PM Ok, we're now seeing that Roslin, Six, Athena, Baltar and possibly Hera are linked through dream.
Six and Athena are Cylon, Roslin is the Dying Leader, and Baltar possibly the One Seeking Redemption.....is Hera the pivot point?
What fall out will there be for Athena for her actions?
What does Cottle tell Adama about Six? I'm thinking it's the big P.
But...if Cylons can't reproduce, what would that mean?
Is it something to do with their new found mortality?
The series is really making me think alot as it winds up to the mid season cliff hanger.
ping898 05-19-2008, 12:37 PM I am agreeing with you are the Cottle and the Six. And I am wondering what it mean, if it means anything about Athena killing a Six...
