Gaeta has a really good singing voice. I was impressed...

I'm curious on if what he was singing is important..... Anyone have a transcription of the lyrics?

Reposting from seasonal thread

Ok, we're now seeing that Roslin, Six, Athena, Baltar and possibly Hera are linked through dream.

Six and Athena are Cylon, Roslin is the Dying Leader, and Baltar possibly the One Seeking Redemption.....is Hera the pivot point?

What fall out will there be for Athena for her actions?

What does Cottle tell Adama about Six? I'm thinking it's the big P.
But...if Cylons can't reproduce, what would that mean?
Is it something to do with their new found mortality?

The series is really making me think alot as it winds up to the mid season cliff hanger.

Found em :)

Here are the words from Bear's site. Also Angeli (the writer of the episode) wrote the words. So I'm thinking they are significant:

Alone she sleeps in the shirt of a man
With my three wishes clutched in her hand.
chorus
The first that she be spared the pain
That comes from a dark and laughing rain.
chorus
When she finds love may it always stay true
This I wish for the second wish I made too.

Chorus:

But wish no more, my life, you can take
To have her, please, just one day wake
To have her, please, just one day wake

Heres some more commentary, LOL.

Let's back up a minute

The last epi was very exciting and moving, I enjoyed watching it (twice). But I really feel like the show is off the rails a bit so let's back it up and review one of the major story arcs that has my head spinning.

1. Kara comes back from the dead, so naturally Roslin assumes she's a cylon. Who wouldn't?
2. Kara is batsh*t crazy and screaming about how she went to earth.
3. No one will listen to Kara (not even Bill, who tries to choke her), so she holds a gun to Roslin's head.
4. Bill does a 180 and secretly gives Kara her own ship and practically all the remaining pilots to follow her dream.
5. When Roslin finds out about #4, she's understandably PO-ed, especially since she has to apologise for it to the quorum.
6. Roslin undergoes some very nasty cancer treatments and dreams of the River Styx.
7. Kara continues to be batsh*t crazy until Sam shoots Gaeta in the leg during a long overdue mutiny. Suddenly, she shows rational leadership qualities again and quickly solves the immediate problem.
8. Kara comes back from her mission with a basestar full of cylons.
9. Roslin invites them to tea a polite caucus. whaaaaa? Wouldn't you think she would immediately say, "see, I told you she was a freaking cylon! Where's the nearest airlock?!"
10. The cylons tell the humans that they're tired of being immortal and are willing to give it all up if the humans will help them find their friends. This seems reasonable to everyone, especially to the former cylon hater #1 who is fighting tooth and nail for her life.
11. Roslin is annoyed by the quorum always nattering on about democracy or some such nonsense, so she brings her new BFF Natalie to see them, where she talks about how great death is. Not one person in that room has a question or a concern.
12. Kara, who Roslin last saw when she was holding a gun to her head, comes to see Roslin and tells her about the hybrid's babbling about the opera house. Roslin's response is "take me to her." Madame Airlock is really drinking the cylon koolaid now.
13. Another secret mission for Kara, make that Helo, but this time it's Roslin who wants to see the wizard hybrid. Just for sh*ts & giggles, she brings along her arch enemy (among the humans, that is) Baltar.

Is it just me? I'm really not trying to be over sarcastic, it's just that I'm seeing a lot of problems with this story arc both logically and in regard to character, and no one is bringing them up.

Thanks for letting me vent.

Good rant, with many valid points. Kara is a few sandwiches short of a picnic, but she always has been, so it doesn't make her a Cylon. Besides, that would be too obvious... unless it is so obvious that we all think it isn't true & RDM is playing another mindfrak game with us. He's good at that.

Who would have thought that creepy Gaeta would have such a gorgeous voice?! That song was so beautiful I didn't listen to the words at all, just the tone. Of course, now that I have seen the lyrics, they don't make sense to me anyway, so I am glad I didn't waste time figuring them out instead of enjoying myself.

What is up with the 6 in custody?! Are the Final 5 so different that they can make Cylon babies with other Cylons or is that promo just as misleading as so many others have been? My vote is for not preggers, but I who knows!

This season has some plot holes I could drive the Bucket through, but I am still enjoying it quite a bit & have chosen to just ignore the things that bug me. :D

The feeling I've seen elsewhere seems to indicate that Cottle will indicate that Six was getting some action, but not that she's pregnant. I lean towards the pregnant though.

Another question is, who was Gaeta singing about? It's something about someone waking. The prophesy of the Hybrid mentioned one awakening, "claw towards the light" being possibly that reference. But who?

The full bit is "And the fifth, still in shadow, will claw toward the light, hungering for redemption that will only come in the howl of terrible suffering."

So who would seek redemption?
Gaeta, Baltar, Ellen and Cally maybe?

None of them have been angels, so there are too many possibilities for me to decide. But, I think Roslin would have to claw towards redemtion with the most suffering. I have always wondered how it would affect her to find out she was a Cylon after all the things she has done to them. I don't think it is Roslin, but it would certainly be interesting.

I have seen 'Guess What Coming To Dinner' on May 16, 2008. It's a good episode. I can't believe that Athena would be so full of fear, because of a dream, that she would kill a Number Six.
