I meant to comment on this before, but didn't get around to it. After seeing Part 1 of Moffat's latest Who episode this weekend, I am even happier with the decision. Kudos to Russell Davies for resurrecting Dr Who, but Moffat is a genius. The episodes he writes have always ranked as the best of each season and I look forward to any of his new work. Since I am terrible with names, the fact that I remember his name and his episodes should say a lot about what I think of him!
Did anyone else see the Library episode this weekend? Creepy, complex, wonderful Who at its best!!!
The only worry with Moffat taking over is that we may set our expectations too high. Every episode he has done in DW, he has hit it clean out of the ballpark. The Library two-parter this season is yet another masterpiece.
Anyway, I have to give outgoing chief RTD his due. He wrote this weeks episode- The Stolen Earth, which is part one of the season finale, and I have to say HOLY *****!:o That was epic. I honestly can't wait for next week!:)

We just had the second part of the library story & it was amazing. LOVED it! Steven Moffat is my new deity of choice!
lol... I do agree with you about unreasonably high expectations, brg. I think RTD has done a wonderful job of resurrecting & steering the show to amazing levels, but I don't know that you can be the best Who writer you can be AND the best executive producer. Given the time & effort each requires, I would think that something has to suffer if you are trying to do both.
