This is an AWESOME way to see your favourite sci-fi and slayer guests. Travel in style on Royal Caribbean's Vision of the Seas cruise ship on their voyage to Alaska!!!!

So far they have "unofficial" commitments for:

Armin Shimerman, Dean Haglund and Claudia Christian for the Seatrek guests

Armin Shimerman and Clare Kramer for the SlayerCruise

I was on Seatrek '93 when all of the guests were from various Trek series. Some of the guests that I was able to meet back on that cruise have since passed away (James Doohan and Mark Leonard) or they simply have not done the convention circuit at all that I am aware of since then (Daniel Davis - Moriarty, Eric Menyuk - Traveler). It was a great way to meet the guests as you have more opportunities to talk one on one with them. It was neat to experience moments that you might never have been able to otherwise, such as swimming in the ocean in Grand Caymen and seeing John DeLancie swim past you with his kids! What about hanging out in the casino or the bar and being able to chat with a favourite guest. These are things that are quite common when you are on the cruises. You get a great package of 8 x 10 autographed pictures from the guests as a keepsake too. That way you don't have to stress about getting anyone's autograph. Guests may still sign personalized items on the cruise but it's their right to refuse to sign any additional autographs. It can be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to experience....a great convention, a week-long vacation and an unbelievable cruise to Alaska! Only one drawback....$$$$$....but I can say from past experience that it was DEFINITELY worth every penny!!!

I am seriously trying to get Maggie interested in this trip, how about you and Bryan? I figure if all three of us hit her with it maybe she'll say yes. It's cool too that it's so far in the future, it gives you lots of time to pay for the cruise, a little at a time.

How about it, can you say, really really long, ROADTRIPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP PP

Oh well, it doesn';t hurt to dream a little.

I can honestly say I have never been on a cruise and this sounds like an awful lot of fun (and $$ too!).

I have always wanted to go on an Alaskan cruise too! The expense gets added as you have to get to Seattle by plane too!

Armin and Clare and Claudia makes it even more worthwhile mind you!!!!!!

Like you'd have to twist my rubber arm to go!!! LOL!

I have NO DOUBT that it would be an amazing experience and that all of us would have a blast. I do wonder though if the cost is too much to digest. It wouldn't be too bad if you could scrounge enough Air Miles to get the flights using points. Better get selling everything I own on eBay to afford this one!

I do like the fact that they allow you to attend events from either event so if one person is a sci-fi fan but the other likes the Slayer stuff that you can mixup your itinerary. On past cruises they have had a great blend of guests and I am sure that they will deliver the same once again.
