So today SB and I watched the latest in comic books to feature film endevours, DareDevil.

It was so much better than Spider-man, I cannot stress that enough. I HATED spider-man. All I heard was how great it was and how it was the best in everything, esp cgi. It had muy plot holes and I thought the cgi sucked.

In comparison, in DD the cgi blended so much better. Ben Affleck in red leather as a costume was much more believable than Tobey Maguire in latex? spidy suit. Not to mention cuter. I liked him as a redhead. :D

The villains didn't get quite the screen time youd think they get...but you get a big look into the hero's life. There's a lot of narritive, so you get to see his perspective.

Personally, I think everyone needed more screen time - it was like getting a glimpse into just a few short days in their lives....ok, thats exactly what it was LOL The story felt like it was really streamlined to fit the time constraints placed on it. I wish more movies could have the luxury like LOR to be able to have more leeway in their length. This is one of those movies.

Elektra was kinda cool. On one hand, I think Jenn Garner is woof material, but I like the back and forth she and affleck have in the story, esp the fight scenes.

Did I mention Ben Affleck in red leather looking mighty good as a redhead? I did? Well, it was worth metioning again ;)

I agree with you about Spider-Man and about Garner. Reviews on Daredevil, ISTM, have been extremely uneven--people either love it or they hate it. We're going to see it this coming week.

As with any movie, go in with no expectaions. You'll enjoy it better that way. ;)

We saw it this afternoon. Indeed, I liked it better than Spider-Man, as did my son. The CGI was much less distracting here--though when he was going up walls it was still rpetty obvious he wasa red video-game character.

Overall not bad.
