Its always been a good seller, I have to agree though... no idea on why they never did. I think its like most good scifi/fantasy series. If it isn't 'mainstream' like Trek, it just languishes. I mean, look how long it too to make a LOTR film?

Yes, but most people have HEARD of LOR even if they had never read it ...I knew about for years but never read it till HS... :blink:

Yeah, good point I suppose. (Why then have we had two pathetic "Dune" movies?) Still, I think it'd make a great flick.

As to never having heard of it--unimaginable! Check it out! The first 5 of the, er, trilogy, are great. The next five are less so in my opinion.

Nathan Brazil might make for a good movie too.

I think the first book could make a good movie. I think the problem is twofold - you'd need money for the special effects (which means you need a large audience to pay for it) and that it would probably be to complex for the average joe to handle (thus meaning a small audience).
