  2. Won Honorable Mention at the EC Fair :)

Susan and I submitted 4 shots to the county fair's photo competition. We each received 3rd place or honorable mentions on 1 shot each. That's mine. Hers was for a side profile of one of our cats. I think her sailboat one should have got a note too.

My dogs Daniel & Layla don't usually get much contact with kids, but the last two weeks my sister has come once a week for an overnight stay, and the dogs have been in 7th heaven. 7. Snow pics

The snow started to slide off my roof the other day when it got warm, but then it froze in mid-slide! It is actually well over my knees in depth, but so well packed & crusted over that the dogs can usually run right on top of it. This is our snowshoe trail:

  13. Talking Vacation photos

York's Wild Animal Kingdom, York, ME. I was so busy chasing after my nephew that I didn't get a chance to set up any really good shots. We had one adult per child (and one of them can't even crawl yet) and it was still exhausting! But fun. :D

  18. Eyeing new equipment

Nikon came out with new vibration reduction lenses. I'm considering a few. More expensive than a regular lens, the VR lets you shoot a clearer image while hand holding the camera, which makes it good for air shows and sports events.
